Current Openings

Position: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland


Process customer orders, direct construction and operations, manage staff and maintenance activities at the job site.  Monitor project sites to ensure compliance with various contract requirements.   Full-time position located in Gaithersburg, Maryland and other various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.  Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Civil Engineering,  Engineering (any), or related field plus two year of experience in the civil engineering field.  The two years of civil engineering experience must include overseeing construction projects for the hotel industry.  In the alternative, we will also accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Engineering (any), or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field.  The five years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field must include two years of experience overseeing construction projects for the hotel industry.   All experience may be acquired concurrently.  We will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience in lieu of the stated education and experience requirements.   Frequent travel and relocation may be required.   

Position: Project Manager
Location: Based in Maryland or Texas Office

Seeking Entry to Midlevel Project Manager who displays the following skill sets:

Major Duties/Responsibilities
  • Able to project manage 2-3 medium size projects ($4-10 million each)
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting constructions drawings and specifications
  • Familiar with all construction types: wood, metal studs, block and plank
  • Experienced with project management of commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors
  • Handle monthly pay applications to owners and subcontractors
  • Make purchase orders and product scheduling
  • Responsible for developing and supporting project superintendent
  • Responsible for interfacing with project owners
  • Write and administer subcontracts
  • Review and handle shop drawings process i.e. truss drawings, structural steel drawings and plank drawings
  • Work with project superintendent to handle on-site issues and questions
  • Contact architect and engineers for RFI's or questions
  • Main point of contact for project inquiries and responsibilities from overall project perspective

Position: Job Site Superintendent

Location: Based in Maryland or Texas Office

Seeking a seasoned Site Superintendent who displays the following skills sets:

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Site Superintendent must be experienced within the construction industry and proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. The Site Superintendent is responsible for all job site work, including:
  • Coordination, scheduling and monitoring of all on-site work
  • Ordering materials
  • Maintaining constructions schedules (provided by DD&B)
  • Monitoring all on-site safety and job site related clean-up
  • Attending on behalf of DD&B weekly or biweekly meetings with owners and architects
  • Interacting and communicating with architects and engineers to resolve site questions or issues
  • Helping find subcontractors and trades as required to perform minor works on-site as needed
Additional Site Superintendent job requirements include:
  • Must be on-site during all construction activities and during construction works; Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays as required by work load and trades.
  • Main point of contact for General Contractor at job site
  • Responsible for getting all phases of job complete, from site works through receipt of occupancy by owner and completion of punch-list items
  • Able to work in a self-motivated environment
